PA Turnpike Tunnels Closed for Maintenance

As we head into the Easter weekend, be aware that two tunnels on the Pennsylvania Turnpike are closed for maintenance this week. Traffic shifts began yesterday and continue today at the Kittatinny and Blue Mountain tunnels in Franklin County. A backup work date is set for tomorrow if the scheduled work delayed.

PA House Passes Bill Banning Transgender Females From Women’s Sports

A bill to ban transgender females from competing in girls and women’s sports passed the Pennsylvania House of Representatives on Tuesday on a 115-84 bipartisan vote. It now goes to the Senate for consideration, which has a similar bill that was approved by its education committee on Monday.

Game Commission Allocates More Antlerless Permits This Year

Pennsylvania hunters will have about 23,000 more antlerless deer permits this fall compared to last year, but fewer elk permits after the Game Commissioin met last Saturday for their quarterly meeting in Harrisburg. Hunters in the Pike and Monroe county area will have 5,000 additional tags for a total of 41,000.
