Winning Ticket Sold in Stroudsburg

One lucky winner in our area came up with a $3 million payday from Tuesday’s Mega Millions lottery. The Pennsylvania Lottery says someone purchased a ticket from the Tobacco Outlet on Main Street in Stroudsburg that matched all five white balls but not the yellow Mega Ball.

A man lost his life in a motorcycle crash in Monroe County… Stroud Area Regional Police say it happened on South Courtland Street, in East Stroudsburg. Police say 34 year old Jonathan McCombs was rushed to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead early Thursday morning. The cause of the crash is under investigation.

Visitors have not been kind to Yetter Park in Stroud Township. In fact, out of the area visitors have literally been trashing the place… violating rules, overcrowding it, and leaving a lot of trash behind. The violations have now forced township officials to close Yetter Park at noon on weekends. The trails will remain open.
