Student Files Suit Against East Stroudsburg University

A student at East Stroudsburg University is suing the school over its handling of a harassment case in which she claims she was harassed by a male student back in November. A no-contact order was issued, but according to the suit, the male student wasn’t disciplined after he violated it earlier this year.

Plans to build Pennsylvania’s largest solar field on what is now a private 644 acre site on Bear Mountain near Swiftwater, has gotten one of its necessary final two permits from the state Department of Environmental Protection before it begins construction. Plans call for about 200,000 solar panels.

Met-Ed has reportedly finished work on its distribution system in southern Monroe County that the company says will prevent power outages… or at least reduce their duration. Existing lines were rebuilt to provide a second source of power for a substation near Snydersville, and automated equipment was installed to improve service to about 2,300 customers.
