State Police say a Stroudsburg woman fell victim to an Amazon scam after she got a text message claiming her Amazon account was hacked and had a fraudulent charge. Police say the woman was instructed to contact the fraudster… who claimed to be an Amazon employee… by telephone, and she provided the scammer with her personal information. It ended up costing her $1,319.
