Spotted lanternflies are laying their eggs right now throughout Pennsylvania. Egg masses… according to Penn State… look like a little smear of mud. You can scrape them into a container that has rubbing alcohol or hand sanitizer in it to kill them, but don’t just scrape them to the ground, where they will simply hatch.
