Groundhog Day is coming again so to speak, and this year we will once again see if Punxsutawney Phil predicts an early spring or 6 more weeks of winter. It’s this Thursday, when the groundhog on Gobbler’s Knob in Punxsutawney peeks out of his burrow at around 6:30am to make what will be his 137th prediction after he looks for his shadow. The celebration there will begin around 3am with a stage show… and lots of adult beverages. Tradition says Phil seeing his shadow is a sign that the next six weeks will bring wintry weather. If Phil doesn’t see his shadow, it means an early spring.
