A woman from New Jersey is dead after being hit by a vehicle in Monroe County. State Police say it happened around 11pm Saturday on I-380 in Coolbaugh Township. A 21 year old man from Buffalo, New York told police that 27 year old Chantalle Cecconi of Hackettstown, New Jersey was walking in the right lane and he couldn’t avoid her. Cecconi was taken by Pocono Mountain EMS to Geisinger Community Medical Center where she was pronounced dead. The man from Buffalo was not hurt.
