Pennsylvania deer hunters who hunt in areas where Chronic Wasting Disease has been prevalent may have some extra time to hunt next season. The game commission is now reviewing data to try to learn whether enough deer were killed in some areas to reduce the spread of the deadly disease. The end result could be an extended firearms antlerless season next January in some parts of the state. Chronic Wasting Disease is 100% fatal to deer, but it is not a threat to humans.
