8 people here in Pennsylvania have been sentenced for animal abuse at several turkey farms. Pennsylvania State Police charged 11 people with inhumane treatment of turkeys at 7 farms in central and southeastern Pennsylvania back in 2022. A court has since ruled that the company operating the farms cannot be held liable for the actions of their employees. 8 of those employees pleaded guilty and received probation, during which they are prohibited from working with animals. A 9th employee entered a no-contest plea.
