Travelers on westbound Interstate 80 experienced longer than usual delays over the weekend, all thanks to construction according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. The work in Pocono Township between Exit 299 and Exit 293 resulted in a lane restriction caused significant delays and created backups and additional traffic on other area roads as drivers tried to get around it.
