Pennsylvania Turnpike officials have sent out an alert about a new scam targeting E-ZPass users. Fraudulent text messages pretending to be from “Pennsylvania Turnpike Toll Services” are being sent to some people, claiming overdue payments will incur additional charges. The texts contain links designed to steal personal financial information. People are being advised not to click on the links.
