Two new cases of West Nile Virus have been confirmed in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Mosquitoes carrying the virus were found in Lackawanna County, in both Moosic and Scranton, marking the fifth and sixth cases this year. While no human infections have so far been reported, health officials advise wearing long sleeves and pants outdoors throughout the area to avoid mosquito bites.
