A Stroudsburg man has been convicted of making false statements in connection with the purchase of six firearms. 33 year old Delvin Hutchinson was found guilty of three counts related to “straw purchasing,” where firearms are bought on behalf of others. Hutchinson, who purchased the guns at Dunkelberger’s Sports Outfitter in Brodheadsville, falsely claimed the firearms were for himself but later admitted they were purchased for others. Each count carries a maximum penalty of ten years in federal prison.
