Blue Envelopes Aim for Protection of Those With Autism During Traffic Stops

A program aimed at easing traffic stops for people on the autism spectrum is now active in Monroe County. Law enforcement picked up their first Blue Envelopes this week at Pocono Raceway. The envelopes hold key documents and notes on whether a driver is verbal or non-verbal, helping officers quickly recognize and respond appropriately. They’re free at any Monroe County police station.
