Despite record high gas prices, AAA expects 42 million Americans, more than ever, will take a road trip of 50 miles or more this July 4 weekend. AAA says the average for a gallon of gas in Pennsylvania is $4.95 and in the Lehigh Valley it’s about $4.88… still a record high but about ten cents less than last week. They say the busiest travel times will be between noon and 9pm tomorrow and Friday, so if you are traveling, plan to leave early.
