A former law enforcement officer in Carbon County is headed to prison after being convicted of repeatedly raping a child. Brent Getz of Lehighton was the Chief of Police in Weissport. On Friday, Getz was sentenced to 16 to 32 years in prison, to be followed by three years of probation. Getz will also be required to register as a sex offender for the remainder of his life.
