In Monroe County, a groom has been acquitted of attempted rape, but he was found guilty on other charges. Daniel Carney of Stroudsburg was convicted of attempted sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault, and other charges related to an incident in which he was accused of sexually assaulting one of his wife’s bridesmaids just days before his wedding at the Shawnee Inn back in 2019.. Carney will now be sentenced on July 26.
