Former Police Chief May Be Stripped Of Pension

A former Lehigh Valley police chief may soon be stripped of his pension after he pleaded guilty to stealing thousands of dollars from the department. Robert Shupp, who served as the Police Chief of Hellertown and once earned $120,000 annually, was sentenced last month to 9 to 23 months in prison after he was found guilty of theft, forgery, and deception. Shupp was also fined $10,000 and ordered to repay $41,000.
