A report of gunshots brought out state troopers Saturday night in Palmerton. Police say Leonid Opacic and the victim had been arguing over Opacic dating the victim’s ex-wife. They say Opacic was arrested and charged with attempted homicice after he fired a gun at the other person.. who was not hit. Opacic is behind bars, facing charges including criminal attempted homicide, two felony counts of aggravated assault, two counts of simple assault, three counts of recklessly endangering another person, and one count of terroristic threats.
