A 36 year old West Penn Township man died Wednesday morning after being struck by an excavator at a private worksite. Authorities say the man was removing fallen trees when the machine rotated with a tree still in its grasp and hit him. He was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest, where he later died.
