A Monroe County father is behind bars today, facing charges including homicide in connection with the death of his 3-month-old child. State Police say Michael Yard claimed to have found his baby unresponsive at a home in Middle Smithfield Township last August. The baby was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. An autopsy ruled the death a homicide, with the cause of death blunt force trauma to the head.
