Monroe Groom Sentenced in Sex Assault Case

The groom that put Monroe County in the headlines a few months ago after being convicted of sexually assaulting his wife’s bridesmaid two days before his wedding has been sentenced. Daniel Carney was ordered to spend two to four years in jail. Carney had been out on $100,000 bond prior to and during his trial. Carney was found not guilty of attempt to rape an unconscious victim.
