A 73-year-old East Stroudsburg lost money in a scam. State Police say the scammer told her he was a soldier in Syria in need of money. Investigators say the victim bought $1,350 worth of Apple gift cards and gave the card codes to the scammer. So far, that scammer remains at large and the woman remains out of more than a thousand dollars.
