A new phone scam is popping up in the Poconos, in which the caller identifies themselves as someone from the county sheriff’s office, telling the victim that they are processing paperwork for their upcoming arrest. Monroe County Sheriff Ken Morris says if you get such a call, hang up and then call his office at 570-517-3312.
