State lawmakers gave their final approval to new restrictions on fireworks Friday… right at the beginning of the 4th of July weekend… but the new rules didn’t go into effect yet. Governor Tom Wolf plans to review it. If he signs off on it, the law would take effect in two months.

Murder Suicide in Lehighton

Police say a Lehighton-area man shot and killed his wife, then himself on Sunday. According to state police, 70 year old Gary Daubert shot his wife, 68 year old Beth Ann Daubert, then turned the gun on himself. Authorities say they believe Gary was suffering from health issues.
