The recent severe weather damaged the Bear Cub Enclosure at Pocono Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Center. Fortunately, no cubs were harmed. Volunteers are now helping with cleanup efforts.

Accused killer Bryan Kohberger faces a hearing in Idaho over a potential violation of a gag order in his first-degree murder trial. Kohberger, a Monroe County native, is accused of the murder of four University of Idaho students in 2022. The issue surrounding his defense teams phone calls will be revisited in the next hearing.

Part of North 3rd Street in Stroudsburg is now known as Little Bethel Way, honoring the historical significance of the Little Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church. The co-naming, approved by the Stroudsburg Borough Council, highlights the church’s role in the community since 1868. Signs will be sponsored by the Stroudsburg Little Bethel Historical Association.
