Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman says he’s open to confirming his former rival, Dr. Mehmet Oz, to lead the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Fetterman, who defeated Oz in the 2022 Senate race, stated he would support the nomination of Oz, despite objections from many other Democrats.

The Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau and United Way hosted the “More Front Doors: Pocono Housing Summit” in Monroe County, bringing together community leaders to address the region’s housing crisis. Governor Josh Shapiro’s executive order for a statewide housing action plan is expected to be finalized by next summer.

Winter weather is settling into Pennsylvania, with the possibility of snow here in parts of the Poconos. Yesterday, temperatures across central Pennsylvania began to drop, bringing rain and snow to many areas. Some mountain regions of our state could see up to a foot of snow, especially at elevations above 2,000 feet.
