Latest Sandusky Appeal Turned Down

A Pennsylvania appeals court on Thursday, rejected former Penn State coach Jerry Sandusky’s latest request for a new trial. The Superior Court upheld a lower court’s decision, stating Sandusky failed to provide sufficient evidence that new information would likely alter his original conviction for child sexual abuse. Sandusky, now 80, is serving a 30 to 60-year sentence after being convicted on multiple counts related to child sexual abuse. The court also ordered him to pay over $44,000 in prosecution costs.
