Kohberger Facing Possible Trial Date In June 2025

A judge is eyeing a June 2025 trial date for Bryan Kohberger, the Poconos man accused in the stabbing deaths of four University of Idaho students. Nearly three years after the tragedy shook Moscow, Idaho, the judge plans to allocate three months for the high-profile trial next summer.

A former assistant controller from Monroe County, Tammy Simpson, has been sentenced for embezzling millions from a local metal salvage company. Simpson, of Pocono Lake, misused her position at Triad Metals International over a seven-year period, diverting funds for personal expenses and loans. She mus pay restitution of more than $3.9 million.
