Stroudsburg hosted its annual “Take Back the Night” march last night, drawing community members together to raise awareness about sexual violence. The event, now in its 30th year, featured a march through the town. Organized by Safe Monroe, East Stroudsburg University, and local law enforcement, the event also focused on education, prevention, and supporting victims.

The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission reminds anglers that trout season opens Saturday at 8 a.m. This year, the commission will stock over 3.2 million adult trout across 691 streams and 130 lakes, including around 72,000 trophy-sized trout. The investigation continues after 71-year-old Robert Werner was found dead following a house fire in Monroe County on Tuesday. The blaze occurred on Long Mountain Road in Polk Township. The results of an autopsy will determine the exact cause of death. Authorities say so far, the fire does not appear suspicious.
