Monroe County Commissioners have unanimously approved the 2024 county budget, which includes an increase in the tax millage, but a decrease in total spending. The 2023 budget came in at $180.4 Million. The budget for 2024 adds up to $162.6 Million… a decrease of $17.8 Million. Property tax millage will increase though, from about 3.2 mills in 2023 to just shy of 4 mills in 2024.
