Northern Lights Visible This Week In NEPA

Northern lights might be visible this week here in Northeastern Pennsylvania, but there will be some challenges. A Geomagnetic Storm Watch is in effect due to recent solar activity, however, clouds and our so-called southern latitude may obscure the view. The best chance to see the aurora could have been just before sunrise today if solar particles arrived earlier than predicted. Otherwise, tomorrow your odds of seeing them are pretty good too, but expect scattered thunderstorms and humid conditions throughout the week, with occasional heavy rain, which could cause visibility problems.
