Pennsylvania residents and businesses affected by the September storms and flooding will be happy to hear that the U.S. Small Business Administration has extended the deadline to April 24 for federal disaster loan applications. The extension applies to counties including Monroe, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Susquehanna, Wayne, and Wyoming.

Pennsylvania State police have announced they plan DUI checkpoints and roving patrols this weekend to deter drinking and driving. With a ‘zero-tolerance enforcement policy,’ patrols target high DUI areas. All counties in Northeastern Pennsylvania are participating.

Among the suggestions, ‘Pennsylvania Wildlife Commission’ to encompass the agency’s diverse responsibilities.
