Woman Arrested For Fraudulently Registering 55 Vehicles

A Northeastern Pennsylvania woman is facing charges after allegedly using someone else’s identity to register 55 vehicles. Police say 53 year old Maritza Cruz of Scranton, worked at a title and tag business and fraudulently registered the cars, leading to traffic tickets for the victim.

A tragic fire in Monroe County claimed one life on Tuesday. A 71-year-old man died in a house fire yesterday on Long Mountain Road in Polk Township. Fire crews responded around 11:30am. The State Police Fire Marshal is investigating the cause, and an autopsy is set for today.
