A Stroudsburg man died in a motorcycle crash on the New Jersey Turnpike. Police say 24-year-old Torbjorn Vetland was riding his Harley-Davidson on the right shoulder when he struck the guardrail, overturned, and was ejected. He was pronounced dead at the scene, and the crash remains under investigation.

Officials report that over $286 million was invested in road maintenance and modernization efforts, and this year, 28 miles of the Turnpike were resurfaced, and another 27 miles were completely reconstructed.
